Not only Pet Society but many games have a format where you become a character in the platform, and even interact with other players. The whole movie, "Tron" went where I'm going with this principle. Because it's being presented as a fantasy doesn't detract from wondering who we are and what we are doing in this mysterious paradigm, where "Default" is to encounter fear of the unknown, which comes from danger, and unexpected unpleasant happenings. Trust comes from the gift of parents and friends, but sometimes they betray one at a very early stage, and ones reaction to that can seriously upset ones course in life. Realising we are here to Choose is what fixes that problem, the worse your experiences, the more you know not to choose darkness and evil. So what does that have to do with Pet Society type games? Well, choosing Goodness permanently and eternally, in the committed way that is necessary to be changed by faith involves personal interaction with personified love. Of necessity a "seek and find" principle is invoked, and He responds, he MUST respond in order for anything to happen. People who think they can "marry themselves" for instance, are just kidding themselves, All they did was change the definition of "marriage" at an even less natural level than homosexuals. In fact, their new "partners" actually are of the same sex and involve the same spirits of reclusiveness and fear. The conversations I found Pet Society analogies most useful for were with fellow players (located on FaceBook) who were of the Muhamidan cultures. They never would understand the concept of God's tri une nature, and pointing out how I can appear in a game as an avatar cartoon, and interact with others who are doing the same thing is a good illustration of how we can be appearing in two dimensional world, empowered by our God-breathed soul and spirit selves...three distinct natures under the one named boundary. I'm over here typing at the end of a computer device, and you can encounter me through my character, if you enter into the same game paradigm. You can found out things about me, such as what pet character I would choose, but the game format limits those choices. Even if you are in my physical presence, I have power to limit what you experience of me, I have my autonomy, and so do you. So what are you doing with your gift of a life from The Father Creator? This is where we often lose each other, depending on who says the challenging thing first, the other "friend" may at this point defriend them and walk away. They don't want to be judged, if they think that's why the question was asked...a bit of "mind reading" as some would say. Really it's just a give-away of our own character. We avoid the important subjects with all but our closest chums...unless it's REALLY important to tackle them, and that's where Politics comes in. My parents were Republicans throughout my childhood, and gave the impression that Democrats were uninformed silly fellas, who could even get a bit crazy at times, if they were opposed enough. Because of their over-all faith in Human Nature, and reluctance to mention God, or responsibility, or any consequences of evil behaviour, they were susceptible to being deceived into paranoid opposition to sensible levels of authority, and were always trying to "stick it to The Man!" Because of all the possible negativity, and because my one vote seemed so puny, I opted out of the whole subject. I met King Jesus when I was a toddler in Sunday School, and decided more an d more to just trust Him to make sure leaders did the right thing. When they walk in His shoes to boss the rest of us around, they forfeit their free will...God can MAKE them behave fairly, or be removed from office. God is the great victor in the battle we see between the Kingdoms of Light and Darkness, and it's obvious which one loses. In Genesis it states obviously that the darkness is incapable of replacing the light, which shines brighter and brighter, the more one gives it power. We have power, we are powerful beings of light, it's just a fact. If a fellow being foolishly tries to adopt darkness to challenge your light, that first challenge is at the Father level. People see the whole wonderful Creation, and could focus on any good part of it, but choose to look at sometreachery that occurs to hurt them or someone else, and ignore the overwhelming percentage that is good. They stare at the dark, pay attnetion to the pain, and must admit they find themselves in a dominating flesh form that doesn't allow anything else. It has to actually be fought valiantly against, and the weapons are right at hand! The King blows through our outer courts of our souls and we have help to choose Him by the Gift of parental authority. So all children go to Heaven. They are forced to please someone else and not be selfish, and the more angry and authoritative their commander(s), the more thoroughly they will obey! Those who dies as children find out instantly how wonderful is their new Home, and how substandard was the world from which they were evicted! Living on into adulthood presents the challenge of dealing with others who have now also shed their authorities and must choose which Kigdom to which they will pay allegiance with their thoughts, words, and deeds. Scriptures say to "take every thought captive, and that is easier said than done. The thoughts come, but from which source, the Light of Heaven, or the Darkness of the exiled kingdom beneath our feet? Anyone who thinks Darwin's theories can be adapted to explain what a thought is, has already gone into a dark place to start trying to explain that question. Whatever is going on is invisible to our five senses and remains a mystery as long as we are on earth, no matter what gadgets we invent to try and "see" or measure what is happening. The things we do find out have interesting connections to the wisdom of Scripture, such as the fact that a certain part of the brain is only activated when the subject begins to pray under the influence of The Holy Spirit. The endorphins released are 200 times those that come from substances such as opium and bring to mind God's command to not be influenced by wine, which links to a spirit of excess, but to be influenced by His Sirit instead...it just feels better, and is more powerful. The suggestions which come from adopting the Joyful Spirit of a sound mind are found to be Win/Win! Putting our trust in the giver of this wonderful Creation does get opposed, which is why we need the second attribute of God's King Persona: The Logos. Are we not seeing on the National and World stages the effectiveness of words and legislative voices? (That includes the media!) Putting a dishonest spin on those actually propels events! The third member of the Trinity involves physical deeds which one chooses to carry out, as a result of listening to a particular voice. That is where one is seen to choose a direction, of love/attraction/unity, or hate/avoidance/exclusion. The spirits behind the majority of t humans choosing a particular political group are being brought right out into the Light, by the world events which follow. This has taken thousands of years, but every single one of us will be given enough facts and experience to make a choice that is fair in God's eyse. He is in charge, most definitely. God is on His Great White Throne, and every idle word will be required of us. 'Every uncaptured thought will be in the light, showing what came of it, as we related to other people. What aspect of Creation/Provision we decided to concentrate on, Which Saviour/Helper we chose to deal with any misery of that fight not going well, and what deeds were inspired as a result...those are the tangible outcomes of ones personal choices, and God knows the exact moment that His Enemy stepped into your life to oppose Him. That's all you have to apologise for to Him. It's embarrassing, but it only takes a moment. All the raggedy outcome of that first bad choice can be laid at His feet for forgiveness, and dissolved in the water and blood that flowed from His side that deciding day when He took on evil and was punished in our place. What is the worst deed one person commits against another, what hurts the most. Wouldn't it be to willingly allow oneself to be destroyed in the sight of the one who loves you the most? Didn't Jesus let them take Him prisoner and kill Him as His Father watched. He had the power to escape as He had always done before but He chose to give Himself up, and the Father was communicating to Him the night before in prayer, what His choices were and what would be the result of His choice to give up His life for us. I think the Father told Him how He wants Human Companyfor sentient choosers, not robots, forced to obey like animals in nature. His suffering was worth it, because there is a WORSE sort of suffering which is imprisonment of beings created to have FREEDOM! That's why God arranged a whole continent/country to be guided into that concpetand why there is such a battle over achieving and preserving it! God Bless America! :D
